Hope all is well and finding everyone doing good. As you read through this monthly update, take a minute to think about your last training session or practice and go over what you liked about it, or didn't like about it. Can you do better? What do you want to improve or correct?

You should ask these questions all the time. You know the adage, you get out of it, what you put into it! That's very true when it comes to shooting. Whether for competition, hunting or personal protection, you have to put in the time. Watching videos and reading articles is good, but ultimately, you have to do it!

Sometimes training and practicing is more enjoyable with others. Perhaps there are friends or family interested in the shooting sports. A great opportunity could be our first ever, Men's Shooting Clinic. At our Women on Target events, many women have asked if we offered a similar program for men. They expressed that their husbands, sons and other male family/friends would be interested. We listened, see below for details.

The piece of advice I'm going to give you this month...Don't look at training as a gauge of your abilities, look at it as a stepping stone to perfection!

For those that are planning to get your pistol permit, get it done and submitted - we know it can be daunting, which is why we now offer an Application Workshop to help you. More details to the right.

Sportsmen/women Community-May 2025 Report by Paul Annetts

This clinic (Information below) will be based on a similar format as our Women on Target programs. Providing men with a venue to learn about and sample various shooting sports.

Additionally, for the person who already shoots, we offer a great opportunity to have your questions answered, learn about laws and perhaps try a new something you haven't done before.

Open to men of all ages, adult and youth. Only $55 for the full day.

Planning a great day shooting. You don't need to bring anything, we supply firearms, ammo and targets.

Please share with someone who you think might be interested.

Reach out with any questions and contact to sign up. First come, first served as we do ask for payment in advance to secure your spot.

MEN'S SHOOTING CLINIC
Saturday, May 31st - 8:30am-4:00pm
Highland, NY
A great opportunity to come out and experience the shooting sports. We will discuss firearm ownership, answer your questions and provide training and instruction on a variety of firearms including shotgun, rifle and pistol. From personal protection, to competitive shooting and hunting, we will cover it all. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY. We will provide firearms, ammunition and instruction. Light breakfast and lunch provided. 14 and older welcome.

FREE FIREARM SAFTEY SEMINAR
Tuesday, June 3rd - 6:00pm - 8:00pm
Blodgett Library, FISHKILL, NY
FREE firearm safety seminar open to all. Designed to provide an overview of firearm ownership and operation.
Great opportunity to have your questions answered and hear about the laws and rules pertaining to firearms.
Registration required and space is limited.

NYS PISTOL PERMIT COURSE - ONE DAY ONLY!!! - (5 Openings Remaining)

Monday, July 14th from 6:00pm-8:00pm. Registration is required.

This 2-hour seminar will cover the application process, complete the county and state forms and reviewing required documentation. If you are looking to apply for your NYS pistol permit, we will take you through each question of the application and make sure you have all the necessary information. A notary will be on-site to notarize your application and be available for your references to stop by and have their form notarized as well.
For those that do not have the application printed, we will have copies on hand as well.
