From the Chairman's Desk

This week brings us to our February monthly meeting on Wednesday 2/25 at the Matthew Glab Post on Abbott Rd in Lackawanna.  Come early to the meeting to partake in the Glab Post’s wing special.  Entire menu below.

We are pleased to host SCOPE Life Member and retired Supreme Court Justice William Boller and Supervisor Judy DeMarco from the Erie County Pistol Permit Bureau.  Judge Boller is continuing to work with Judy to ensure a smooth transition upon his retirement.  They will talk about Pistol Permit processes and procedures etc. and answer your questions. 

John Elwood, our SCOPE President and retired US Army Lieutenant Colonel, 10th Mountain Division, will also be present to offer his support.

We will announce upcoming 2026 plans for our Chapter regarding fundraisers and community shooting sports activities.

As you know, this is a critical time in American history. We need all Patriots to unite as one, to get gun owners to the polls to vote 2nd Amendment candidates into office.  Our Chapter will focus on increasing voter registrations and encouraging votes for 2A candidates, and we need everyone’s help.  Gun owners must be successful this June during the Primary season and into the Fall or we will lose many more of our 2A rights.  Unity isn’t going to happen from home.  If you are unable to travel to join us, please talk with your friends and family about the need to vote.

We will begin Wednesday’s meeting promptly at 7 pm.  We hope to see you there!

     In an effort to allow more member participation in our planning processes, we are opening up our Monthly Board Meetings to include any Erie County SCOPE member. 
     We meet in the restaurant area at the Matthew Glab Post at 2 pm and work through the agenda together. 
     We always look forward to the Daily Special which on Wednesdays is Chicken Wings.  It's a lot of fun and we have a nice time gathering and planning for the meeting together. 
     Our Board would be so pleased to have members participate in this with us.
     Please come out and join us on these afternoons.

Thank you to State Senator George Borrello for presenting to Erie County SCOPE on Tues. Oct. 28.
The crowd had great questions about the NYS recently signed domestic violence gun law. Also, we had a much passionate discussion about Hochul's electric mandate for new builds as of Jan. 1, 2026.
He spoke also about Elise Stefanik's probable run in '26 and our upcoming strategies as Patriots to take back NYS.
