Public Exposure:
SCOPE is continuing to publish quotes and messages encouraging voting and citizen responsibilities through November 2024 in the New York Outdoor News. These ads remind hunters and all gun owners how important it is to VOTE ! A person can still REGISTER to vote up to Oct. 25th.

Shooting Teams:
High School Clay Target Leagues are still growing at a great pace. This is one of the fastest growing sports in the country. Our efforts help support the Arkport, Bath, Canisteo/ Greenwood, Corning/Painted Post, Prattsburgh, and Wayland / Cohocton teams. As well as Steuben County 4 H and Five Rivers Council of Boy Scouts of America.

We also help with Armed Women of America, Steuben County Chapter.

My Two Cents
by Doug Mitchell

The path, direction and course of civilian life is determined by the exchange of ideas and civil discussion…..all culminating in the voting process.

Voting is so important……and sometimes the result of not voting leads to the next step of redress …. and that is the expensive and lengthy New York and Federal court systems.

So why might a person privileged to live in the United States NOT vote??

Sickness ? Unawareness ? Too busy ? Fear of Failure ? Rebellion ?

Whatever the reason, NOT voting is the same as voting for the other side!

And why would anyone do that. Register, vote, make your voice heard and your choice known.

Every year Steuben Co. SCOPE donates to the NYS High School Clay Target League. (NYSHSCTL)

The organization’s priorities are safety, fun, and marksmanship.
